Welcome to EcoWorks: Thank-you for visiting!
EcoWorks webpage was made for Artists who love Ecology & the Environment. Artworks can be a fundamentally powerful tool, helping us to open hearts, eyes and minds, and provoking positive action towards a sustainable, ecologically balanced world.
However, like any tool, before we can use environmental art effectively, we must understand it.
Our Environment is the world around us - locally and globally.
So, what is Ecology? And what is Eco(logical) Art? The terms "Environmental Art" and "Eco-art" are often used interchangeably, which can be confusing. They are actually rather different approaches to art in the environment [please see the discussion on the 'About' page].

EcoWorks relates to "Eco-art".
My own artworks are largely concerned with helping to protect natural ecosystems, by aiming to educate and inspire viewers. In generating awareness of environmental problems, I believe Art can become a catalyst for individuals and communities to focus on environmental values, leading to positive action. The " Universal language of Art" has always played a critical role in provoking thought and generating dialogue (United Nations Environment Programme, 2011).

- "Eco" means home, in Ancient Greek.
- Art is created to "Work" on the human mind.
